Supporting the Service to the Armed Forces mission of the American Red Cross to help members of the military, veterans and their families prepare for, cope with, and respond to, the challenges of military service in the Mid-Atlantic Division. Provides guidance, support and assistance to Red Cross offices in establishing, growing and maintaining Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) core services.
Provides guidance, support and assistance to Red Cross field personnel, ensuring that SAF services are carried out in accordance with specified Red Cross policies and procedures within their assigned area. Evaluates the effectiveness of programs and services and makes recommendations for continuous improvement. Provides operational oversight of special projects or events in support of SAF initiatives. Collaborates with SAF offices at National Headquarters to help ensure smooth overall operations. Works with Regional leadership and SAF field personnel to articulate their support and guidance needs to SAF NHQ. Participates with Regional leadership in the strategic planning process to support the delivery, sustainment and growth of SAF services and programs within the Division. Works in conjunction with the Division leadership to ensure programs and services are implemented consistently within their division. Works closely with SAF field personnel to develop and implement a SAF volunteer program plans.
